Introduction:

To facilitate mobile communication, Anewtech has launched both in-vehicle computer and rugged tablet PC which can support GSM, GPRS, GPS WCDMA, HSDPA, WLAN and Bluetooth. Based on Intel’s energy-efficient, 1.6GHz Intel®Atom™ N270 CPU, the in-vehicle computer and rugged tablet PC are fully compliant with most relevant industry standards including e13 and EN 50155, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications within trains, buses, boats and other vehicles
Solution:
The enterprise-level network security application powered by the NSA 5110 with its high performance Quad-Core Xeon CPU ensures highly secured data transmission between the backend office and the corresponding components within the network. The Digi Transport cellular router provides secure VPN connections to both the ruggised telematics PC- VTC 6100 and the tablet PC- MRC 2100. The VTC 6100, specifically design for in-vehicle computing applications allows asset tracking data to be sent back to the backend office; the ruggised nature of MRC 2100 tablet PC intelligently combines mobility with functionality. It serves as a perfect platform for fleet management purposes, even in tough outdoor environments. With its distinctive rubber pads features, it can withstand a vertical drop of up to 4 feet (120 cm) high and can be mounted on vehicles.
